It’s the 13th March today so that means one thing, just one month until Blues head to Wembley!

On Sunday 13th April Blues will step out into the Home of Football in front of 43,000 odd Bluenoses. A cup final is always a great experience and with it being 14 years since Blues last lifted a trophy there will be many fans there in April that haven’t seen Blues in a final before.
The Vertu Trophy of course isn’t the highest of domestic honours but that hasn’t stopped a right buzz around the city. I mean you know everyone’s talking about it when the DVB’s golden boy is mentioning us on TalkSport.
The demand for this one surely surpasses the average attendances for this fixture, although we won’t be setting a record attendance for the final with that being held by Portsmouth and Sunderland’s final in 2019 when 85,021 fans packed into Wembley for it. Tickets for this one are at Priority 2 currently with Priority 3 on sale tomorrow, this is for people who took part in the Lincoln FA Cup scheme guaranteeing them a ticket for this one.

Sales have been full steam ahead but that additional allocation of 6,490 tickets means there’s going to be plenty of tickets available for everyone. All the lower tiers have gone, to the frustration of some fans who attended all the cup games, but I think it’s fair to say that pretty much every fan should get one. Considering the amount of people that were asking at the start I anticipate Blues should sell out their increased allocation.
Considering it isn’t a huge trophy there is such a buzz and I’ve been looking back at the 2011, nothing beats a final be it a major cup final or a play off final. There’s something about the magic of the day, something that gets everyone excited and I honestly can’t wait to get into London and begin the party that will no doubt be in full swing. A win would be a bonus as well!
